All competitions seeking to recognize official OTSO Records or use OTSO scoring must be officially sanctioned by the OTSO Executive Board.

To sanction your event, please ensure you meet the following requirements:

Submission Timeline: Your sanction request, required materials, and fees must be submitted and approved at least 30 days prior to your scheduled event date.
Sanction Fee: A non-refundable $50 sanction fee is required for each distinct type of event (e.g., Main Competition vs. Record Breakers Event).
Sanctioning Agreement: The Meet Director must submit a signed Old Time Strongman Organization Inc. Sanctioning Agreement.
Certificate of Insurance (COI): Event liability insurance is an available option and is recommended. Meet Directors must assess the need for event insurance based on the requirements and risk environment of their host country or region.

Download and fill out the Meet Sanction Application, but skip “Step 2: Submit & Pay”.
Email your completed form directly to: payments@oldtimestrongman.org.

Once we receive your email, OTSO leadership will reach out to get your $50 sanction fee sorted out and send you the OTSO Sanctioning Agreement to sign. This agreement is the legal document that is required to be signed. Each one is adjusted to reflect and include the actual OTSO Member Event Host’s name and the actual name and date of the event.
