OTSO World Record Breakers 5 Results Are In!
What’s up, strength fans! The numbers for the Old Time Strongman Organization World Record Breakers 5 are completely locked in, and the lifting was insane! This was a remote-only event, meaning athletes from all over smashed personal bests right in their own home gyms.
Here is the super cool breakdown of the stats:
- Total Lifters: 35 powerhouses (32 Men, 3 Women).
- Countries: 2 (USA, Canada)
- Total Lifts Attempted: 124
- New World Records: 121 (Only 3 lifts missed the record book because someone else in the same weight and age class beat them out in a crazy head-to-head battle!)
- Most Popular Lifts: The Standing EZ Curl Bar was the ultimate favorite, closely followed by the heavy 18-Inch Bob Peoples Deadlift.
- Standout Historic Lift: Dano Trenholm-Woodland put up 100 lbs in the Louis Cyr 1 Arm Dumbbell Press (Right Arm). To make it happen, he led into the press by performing the “bent press”—a classic, historic old-time strongman move that is super rare to see today and definitely not easy to master!

Before we get to the top lifts, we have to give a massive shoutout to the future of our sport and the seasoned legends who are still moving mountains! Our Junior lifters (ages 12-19) came out swinging to prove you are never too young to lift heavy.
Huge props to 12-year-olds Isaac Bankens and Drennyn Furbee, 13-year-old Charley Yount, and 19-year-old Raleigh Locklear for setting the bar high!

On the flip side, our Masters lifters showed that true old-time strength only gets better with age. A special tip of the hat to our oldest competitor, 81-year-old Joe Somfay, who is still out here pulling monster weight, alongside our 60+ crew who proved that age is just a number and real strength is forever!
