OTSO Certified Officials: The Guardians of the Platform

Our officials are the backbone of the Old Time Strongman Organization. They are the keepers of the standards, the enforcers of the rules, and the mentors who help our lifters achieve greatness. Interested in seeing your name here? [Take the Rules Test] to begin your journey.

Level 1 Officials (Lifetime Certified)

This is the highest level of certification in OTSO. These officials have successfully served as Level 2 Officials and have officiated a minimum of 150 attempts across sanctioned events. They are permanently exempt from future mandatory re-exams.

Level 2 Officials (Active Certification)

This is the entry-level certification for officiating sanctioned meets. These officials have passed the written exam and completed their practical sessions. This status is valid for four years before a re-exam is required. To advance to Level 1 (Lifetime Certification), officials must maintain a detailed log documenting a minimum of 150 officiated attempts across OTSO-sanctioned events.

Officials in Training

These members have passed the written Rules Examination with 80% or higher and are in the process of completing their two mandatory practical sessions. While they may judge alongside certified officials for practice, their decisions are currently advisory.
