Overhead Log Press

Official Rules

Any size metal or wooden log, up to 12 inches (30.5 cm) in diameter may be used. The lifter may take the log to their shoulder, then overhead in any style they want provided both hands remain on the bar. Standing the log on the side/end is not allowed. Once the log is overhead, the lifter’s arms locked to the best of their ability, their legs straight and feet in line with the body, the Head referee will then give the “Down” command to end the lift. The lifter must make every effort to return the log safely to the ground. Dropping the bar will disqualify the lift. Officials Commands: Down
